2021 James Otis Lecture Series Program Webinar

The annual TEX-ABOTA James Otis Lecture Series will take place virtually this year on Thursday, September 23, 2021.

Back by popular demand, Professor W.H. “Bill” Brands, will be our keynote speaker again. A frequent guest on PBS and NPR, Professor Brands taught at Vanderbilt University and Texas A&M University before joining the faculty at the University of Texas at Austin, where he is the Dickson Allen Anderson Centennial Professor of History and Professor of Government.  He writes on American History and politics and has published numerous books.

For our 2021 James Otis Lecture Series, Professor Brands will lead an inspirational interactive lecture on: From the Revolution to the Constitution: How a Bunch of Rebels Got Down to the Business of Governing. All students will receive TEX-ABOTA branded items and the first 200 students who register and attend the entire program will receive a signed copy of his new book: Our First Civil War: Patriots and Loyalists in the American Revolution, which is due to be released early November 2021.

If you know of a school that would like to have their students participate, please contact either Ryan Squires, Program Chairperson, or Tammy Miller, Executive Director of TEX-ABOTA.
