| We are pleased to announce that TEX-ABOTA has officially adopted a statewide jury questionnaire, a project that has been years in the making and shaped by the input of more than 50 of our members. This comprehensive questionnaire was developed with the goal of enhancing the jury selection process, particularly in complex cases. The TEX-ABOTA Jury Questionnaire Committee encourages its use in larger cases and in situations where the court permits the venire panel to appear a day early to complete the questionnaire. This allows all parties sufficient time to review and thoughtfully consider the information provided, ahead of voir dire. We understand that each case and jurisdiction may have unique needs; therefore, the questionnaire is being provided in both PDF and Word formats to allow for customization to better suit specific counties or case types. Word Version TEX-ABOTA hopes that both our membership and the judiciary will find this tool valuable in promoting fairness and efficiency in jury trials.
