Recently, TEX-ABOTA proudly honored those individual chapter members who received that chapter’s 2025 civility awards. Each year, chapters have the opportunity to recognize a member who exemplifies the ideals of civility and ethical practice, which are cornerstones of ABOTA’s mission. Those being honored were: Gregory Gowan (Corpus Christi), Pat Long (Dallas), Rusty Phenix (East Texas), Alistair Dawson – Posthumously and accepted by Wendy Dawson (Houston), Joe Escobedo (Rio Grande Valley), John Howell (San Antonio), and Max Parker (West Texas).
